How Was Deelen Created?

Deelen was born out of real-life experiences and everyday frustrations.

Our founder, along with family and friends, repeatedly found themselves in situations where they needed an item just for a short time—whether it was for a special event, a visitor staying over, or a temporary need.

Each time, the same questions arose: Should I buy it? Where can I borrow it? Finding a solution was often difficult and time-consuming.

The Inspiration Behind Deelen.

Another key moment that inspired Deelen was during a temporary move. Faced with relocating for a few months, our founder had to sell many belongings, knowing they would be needed again in the future. Instead of selling, wouldn’t it have been smarter to rent them out until they were needed again?

These experiences led to a simple yet powerful idea: What if there was an easy way to rent and lend everyday items within a trusted community? And that’s how Deelen was born—a project that has been maturing for nearly three years and is now finally ready to come to life.
