Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation by Lessees

Lessees can cancel their booking, but penalties apply depending on the timing of the cancellation.

Time of Cancellation Refund Loyalty Points Deduction
Within 24 hours of booking (if more than 7 days before rental start) 100% refund (excl. Admin fee) -5 points
More than 7 days before rental start 75% refund (excl. Admin fee) -10 points
Between 7 and 3 days before rental start 50% refund (excl. Admin fee) -15 points
Less than 3 days before rental start 25% refund (excl. Admin fee) -20 points
Last-minute cancellation (<24h before rental start) or No-show (failure to pick up the item) Non-refundable -30 points

 

2. Cancellation by Lessors

Lessors are expected to fulfill their bookings. If an Lessor cancels, Lessees are compensated, and penalties apply.

Type of Cancellation Compensation for Lessee Loyalty Points Deduction
More than 7 days before rental start 100% refund -10 points
Between 7 and 3 days before rental start 100% refund -15 points
Less than 48 hours before rental start. account may be temporarily suspended, penalty of 10% on commission on next completed rental may apply 100% refund -25 points
No-show (failure to deliver the item), account may be temporarily suspended 100% refund + 10% discount on next rental -30 points

 

3. Special Cases & Force Majeure

Cancellations may be exempt from penalties if caused by:

  • Serious illness or accident (medical proof required)
  • Uncontrollable external events (natural disaster, legal emergency, etc.)
  • Technical failure making rental impossible (e.g., item malfunction due to an accident)
